POSITION: CAMP JACK / GENERAL PACK TRIP HELP

If you are looking for an exciting summer/fall job, working in the Bob Marshall Wilderness here in Montana, riding horseback through some of the most beautiful wild country to be found anywhere, this might be for you.

While experience is a benefit, we are willing to train the right person. The biggest requirement for this job is to have a friendly, energic, helpful personality and be willing to jump in and help with various duties while we are traveling with our guests in the backcountry. We can teach you the skills necessary to be successful and an important part of our wilderness team.

JOB DUTIES:

This position is responsible to help around camp, setting up tents, assisting in setting up the kitchen, assisting the cook when needed, gathering firewood, building campfires and helping our guests settle in. Other duties as time allows is helping with the horses and mules, saddling and possibly doing day rides or hikes.

Our wilderness trips range from 5 to 10 days in length. We generally travel a day and then layover a day. When traveling, we ride horses from 3 to 5 hours in duration. Loading up camp on moving day mornings and setting it back up later that day is the busiest time.

Pay depends on experience.
